We have just returned from a trip to Sweden, such a lovely country and people.
We took the ferry over from Harwich to Esbjerg which took 19 hours, so we had plenty of time to unwind and relax on the ferry, when we landed, we travelled East on the E20 through Denmark, over two very large and expensive toll bridges £30 for one and £50 for the other! From Malmo we travelled north on the E4 to Jonkoping were we were visiting a trade show for 4 days. Wild camped in a lovely spot by the forest and we joined up with our friends who flew out to visit the show as well. When the trade show had finished we travelled south East to Kalmar were we visited a spectacular castle with moat, we stayed in a campsite that night and filled up with water and empted grey tanks. The next day we travelled west to Denmark, the cosmopolitan city of Copenhagen. There was a fantastic aires de service right in the centre of the city, all within easy walking distance, and what a beautiful city it is! Had a lovely meal in the evening and fireworks. Then all too soon we had to go to Esbjerg to catch the ferry back to the UK. I would love to go back to Sweden and see more of the country. The weather was very hot when the sun came out and a lovely clean fresh air, with stunning views.
